The Azure Bows Unit was an elite force of mountain archers within Duke Hyou Army. Personally formed at the request of Duke Hyou, the unit was led by the skilled commander Sou Gen and specialized in long-range attacks and guerrilla tactics across difficult terrain. Known for their deadly precision and mobility, the Azure Bows played a vital role in Duke Hyou’s unorthodox and ferocious style of warfare.
History
It consisted only of mounted archers and was led by Sou Gen, Qin's respective member of the Ten Bows of China. They were feared by the enemies and had slain numerous commanders. Their skills were also top notch, as their members could easily pierce their enemy's helmets with their arrows while riding horses.
One day, they were sent on a mission to save some other soldiers of the Duke Hyou Army who had been cornered. When they arrived, they were ambushed and the entire unit was wiped out with Sou Gen himself being slain. Yet, they still managed to help the cornered soldiers escape. One of these soldiers was Gaku Rai.

Composition
The Unit represented a significant force and its name alone inspired fear in its enemies. Many enemy officers were killed and many lives of comrades were saved.
Each of the soldiers was not only a good horseman but also a first-class archer, capable of hitting an enemy straight in the head with one arrow.
