Northern Army is the 155th chapter of the Kingdom manga, written and illustrated by Yasuhisa Hara.
Summary
The Ri Haku and Kou Son Ryuu armies of Zhao continued exchanging glares with Qin's Rin Bou and Dou Kin armies. The Zhao army plans on stalling in order to fight Ou Ki. Ri Haku then decides to take matters into his own hands. He plans to split his army into two and take command of the rear half and ride to Chou Sou aide.
Ou Ki however aims to stall the enemy resulting a situation that Ou Ki wants. Kou Son Ryuu tells Ri Haku that he won't be able to defeat Ou Ki with his army alone. He also says that he only will be bringing Qin to Chou Sou location.
Chou Sou knew his tactics wouldn't work on Ou Ki therefore he used it on Mou Bu. Ou Ki army is in pursuit of Chou Sou although it is going very slowly. At first glance, one might think because they were matching speed with the Infantry, but that wasn't the case. It is because Ou Ki felt that something was off.
Ou Ki then is being notified of the location of the Zhao army. 10.000 men are surrounding Mou Bu army of 1000. After hearing this he orders his army to go full speed. At Qin capital Kanyou, Yo Tan Wa is talking to Ei Sei. She says that you must be aware of our conquest of the mountain's lands.
Yo Tan Wa had planned to battle the Xiongnu as they are different to the mountain folk they have fought so far. She went to their territory with an army of 80.000. However, when they arrived there was nobody there. Only corpses, hundred thousand of them. She states that the Xiongnu were defeated by the Zhao army. They are all disturbed by the fact they didn't hear any news from their informants of a battle of such scale. She deduces that Zhao must have placed an information lock-down and that they must plan to intervene with this battle. The strategist leading this battle was Ri Boku.
