Enter the Castle is the 838th chapter of the Kingdom manga, written and illustrated by Yasuhisa Hara.
Summary
The sound of a bell rings throughout Shintei, confusing soldiers from both Han and Qin alike. At the East Dragon Gate Watchtower, atop Shintei's eastern wall and exclusive to Han's royal family, Chou In, commander of Han's East Dragon Gate is informed that the East Dragon Bell had been rung, and takes a moment to appreciate what it signals. Through his anguish, he tells his men not to cry, and reassures them that their king had protected his people, before begrudgingly ordering the gate to be opened with a stream of tears.
Unable to understand the situation unfolding before them, the Qin soldiers wonder if the gate opening before them was a trap. Right before they decide to charge into the city, Tou appears at the front of the eastern wall, halts the Qin soldiers, and asks to speak to the leader of the eastern gate. Chou In responds and introduces himself, and in place of the 22nd Han King, declares that Han will surrender to Qin. As Qin soldiers begin to react in surprise and confusion to the news, Chou In repeats that Shintei would be peacefully opened, and that Han would surrender.
Tou acknowledges Chou In's message, and asks if the interior of the castle would be safe upon entry. Chou In tells him that the news of Han's surrender had not reached any gate other than the eastern one, implying that Han's royal family had acted on its own accord. Tou asks for Roku O Mi and Ryuu Koku to be informed, and makes plans with Chou In for him to accompany them to tour the castle, to ensure that Qin could accept the surrender without bloodshed.
Inside Han's royal palace, news of Han's surrender spreads. Kakou Ryuu cuts down the messenger reporting the news, calling him a lying traitor. Chou In rides throughout the castle and spreads the declaration of Han's surrender, asking the Han soldiers to drop their weapons. Han soldiers are greatly confused by the news, until they witness Tou and the Qin army marching leisurely through the castle. Soldiers that still refused to do so were calmly persuaded by the Tou army to do so.
On Shintei's west wall, General Raku'A Kan and his army watch the strange unfoldings in Shintei, until a messenger arrives and explains to them that Han had surrendered. Raku'A Kan's commanders wish to fight, and encourage Raku'A Kan to lead them to take Tou's head. The north and south walls open their gates, and Raku'A Kan is left pincered between the Hi Shin Unit outside Shintei, and the combined Tou, Roku O Mi, Ryuu Koku, and Kan Ou armies from within Shintei.
