3000-Man Unit is the 356th chapter of the Kingdom manga, written and illustrated by Yasuhisa Hara.
Summary
The first moments of the freshly and newly promoted 3000 Hi Shin Unit begins by counting down each member from 1 to 3000, which leads to disbelieve and complaining from the Hi Shin veterans with Bi Hei, Hai Rou being embarrassed at the strangeness of their captain and Shou Sa simply taking a nap.
After the last man standing is counted down, the unit begins their charge to the frontline of the region of Kaisou but their goal is not to fight. The invasion's aftermath from the Coalition Army upon the lands of Qin caused massive disasters. A great number of villages and towns were destroyed and burned to ashes, while the people had no resources for rebuilding.
The defense lines were also destroyed, and enemy soldiers begin wandering too close for comfort near the villagers. Due to this, various units are dispatched from High Command. Shin and the Hi Shin Unit soon meet Man To, the mayor of Hei Village in the region of Kaisou. The mayor greets and gives them his gratitude for their help in restoring the village. Shin tells the mayor to drop formalities and offers his help by splitting the unit into two teams.
The first is the Restoration Team with Bi Hei as the leader, in name only, placed in charge of reconstruction the village while assisting the villagers. And the second led by Shin and So Sui, the Security Team consisting of So Sui Unit and the newly joined 500 soldiers from the late Great General Duke Hyou's army led by 1000-Man Commander Gaku Rai. Ten approaches Shin and the rest of the commanders of Hi Shin Unit saying that she found the base of the enemy troops and needs to devise a strategy for fighting.
Shin quickly says that they should fight with brute force, as always, because that is the way of the Hi Shin Unit. By noon the Security Team return to a village that is vastly improved due to the work of the Restoration Team. After gathering up at night, Den Yuu asks Shin how their battle went. Shin tells him that because of the strength of the former Duke Hyou Army soldiers, the fight was beyond easy. Ga Ro, a member of Gaku Rai's unit, is amazed by Ten's skills because of her quickly dispatching logistics, following up any enemy movements and tracking the movements of their allies on the map. Ga Ro also mentions about a rumor that he heard stating that the female lieutenant of the Hi Shin Unit is incredibly deadly with her swordplay. Shin corrects Ga Ro that while that is true, Ten isn't the one that he heard of but Kyou Kai, their lieutenant that is off on a journey and should come back once her journey is completed. Meanwhile in Zhao's Mount Rou, Kyou Kai finally finds her sworn enemy, Yuu Ren from the Yuu Tribe while unleashing an intense amount of killing intent.
