Swift As Lightning is the 805th chapter of the Kingdom manga, written and illustrated by Yasuhisa Hara.
Summary
Ou Hon leads the Gyoku Hou Army's 50,000 men on boats across the Yellow River to Wei, to prevent Wei from sending reinforcements to Han as Qin invaded it. A Wei general rallies his men, confident that they had been in time to secure Qin's only landing spot at Rakushi Harbor, but find themselves caught off-guard by a Qin detachment from their left. Dairyou barely receives the report of the Qin army arriving and beginning their assault on Rakushi Castle when a second report arrives announcing its fall. Go Hou Mei decides to have Wei monitor the situation, and send out 130,000 men to crush the Qin army if they decide to surround Shintei.
At the same time, Mou Ten and the Gaku Ka Army's 50,000 men are deployed to Kouto, filling in the space between the castles at Ryouyou and Gyou. At Bu'an, Ba Nan Ji and Shun Sui Ju discuss the situation as a report from Ri Boku in Hango arrives, instructing them to continue training the army in Bu'an and keep watch over Qin's movements.
In Shintei, Han officials worry about how to deal with Qin's impending invasion of Han. They note that Qin had already taken measures to prevent reinforcements from Wei and Zhao, and then a messenger bursts into the courtroom to report that the Qin army had already crossed their border and were heading towards Nanyou, the strategic location blocking the main path leading to Shintei. Han's First General, General Raku'A Kan, reminds the court that Nanyou is defended by Han's Second General, General Haku'ou Koku, the most powerful army after his own. After hearing that General Haku'ou Koku had a force of 70,000 men, General Raku'A Kan concludes that they would be able to handily repel an army of 100,000 while defending in a siege battle. Another report arrives, notifying the Han court that the Qin army was led by General Ri Shin, leading an army of 60,000 soldiers.
