A Plan of Attack is the 679th chapter of the Kingdom manga, written and illustrated by Yasuhisa Hara.
Synopsis
Shin and his own cavalry unit cut their way through a mass of the Gaku Haku Kou Army's cavalry and rushes in to help Ou Hon and the surviving Gyoku Hou soldiers but they are quickly swarmed. However, over on the left side, the Kyou Kai Unit is able to break through. Seeing this, Ban You rallies the remaining Gyoku Hou soldiers to fight and guard unconscious Ou Hon to their last breath. As the Gaku Haku Hou infantry are about to finish them off, Kyou Rei suddenly appears and saves them as the Gyoku Hou soldiers are in shock at her strength and mistake her for Kyou Kai for a moment. With her help, they take Ou Hon and retreat to the Hi Shin Unit's HQ from the spot.
Meanwhile, at the Zhao HQ, the commanders of the Gaku Haku Hou Army watch the entire situation from above and recognize the Hi Shin Unit’s banner and its leader as the one who killed Hou Ken of the Three Great Heavens during the Battle at Shukai Plains two years ago. Gaku Haku Hou smiles and orders his soldiers to return to their original formation as they prepare to take them on.
Over at the Hi Shin's HQ, Shin asks about Ou Hon’s condition, and is told that he is in a bad shape and still unconscious. Ten wonders about how to take the fortress and suggests attacking from the spot where there's a gentler slope. As they are about to head out, they are stopped by a barely conscious Ou Hon who warns them that Zhao have prepared a trap there and that the Gyoku Hou already tried this route before and failed. Ou Hon then explains that the only way to take the fortress is to attack the steepest cliff where the terrain is thought, but almost falls from but he is held up by Shin. This sends a silent shock to everyone present. Ou Hon continues his explanation and tells them that there is no real defense set up. Shin thanks Ou Hon and says it is due to him that the Hi Shin Unit won't be marching to their deaths. Ou Hon then passes out and Hi Shin Unit sets out.
