Evil is the 40th chapter of the Kingdom manga, written and illustrated by Yasuhisa Hara.
Summary
Shin has an internal dream discussion with Hyou and Ei Sei about the events that happened since Hyou died. Telling him revenge alone isn't enough, he needs to realize the dream they had.
Shin wakes up seeing them still in combat with Rankai. The latter is pushed back by the monstrous power of Bajio. Which surprises the people loyal to Sei Kyou. A few moments later Rankai falls to the ground much to the dissatisfaction of Sei Kyou. Rankai is on the losing hand, that was until Sei Kyou said that he would punish him if he didn't win. Suddenly Bajio is the one being pushed back.
Sei Kyou is smiling when he says that he bought Rankai from a black-market merchant. Ka Ryo Ten and Sei Kyou discuss the nature of people, with Ka Ryo Ten saying that Sei Kyou is more despicable than the thugs of Kokuhi. Sei Kyou tells her that it is in all people's nature to be born evil. But claims that royalty is different, they don't envy or fear others. Shin joins the discussion by stating that nobody is willing to sacrifice their lives for Sei Kyou. The latter orders the nobles to get him those two kids.
