Zhao King's Decree is the 645th chapter of the Kingdom manga, written and illustrated by Yasuhisa Hara.

Summary

In a meeting of top generals, Great General Ou Sen and Qin Generals Mou Ten, Ou Hon, Sou Ou, Den Ri Mi, A Kou, and Ri Shin, who arrives late, much to the annoyance of Den Ri Mi, discuss the strategic plan for the conquest of Kantan and the invasion of Zhao. The group is strategizing their next moves when suddenly a messenger arrives with shocking news—the King of Zhao has passed away, leaving everyone in stunned.

Meanwhile, in Kantan, Zhao's Prince Ka takes advantage of the power vacuum left by his late father, Tou Jou's death, and releases all the politicians who had been imprisoned under his father for opposing his crude and harsh behavior. These former prisoners swear their loyalty to Prince Ka, hoping for a shift in the kingdom’s future. However, their hopes are quickly dashed when Ei, a key figure in the Zhao court, announces that Prince Ka has been removed from the line of succession. Instead, Ka's younger half-brother, Sen (later known as Yuu Boku), is declared the successor to the throne, further complicating the political situation in Zhao.
