Epitome of the Instinctual Type is the 323rd chapter of the Kingdom manga, written and illustrated by Yasuhisa Hara.

Summary

Duke Hyou arrives at Ri Boku's position after conquering the Ryuudou tactic. The Duke notices that Ri Boku looks strangely calm by someone who has been cornered, and says he was hoping to cut him down from behind as he ran away desperately trying some last scheme.

The Zhao Great General compliments the Duke for managing to crack the puzzle presented by his Ryuudou, going as far as to call him the epitome of the instinctual type of general, since not even the talented Kei Sha was able to decipher the Ryuudou not even a single time. However, Ri Boku also states that he doesn't need to unsheathe his sword, for his battles are fought with tactics and strategy and even with this minor setback, he believes that the Duke's life will end there.

As a flag approaches Ri Boku and Hyou's position, the Hi Shin Unit stationed atop of a hill watch in disbelief as Hou Ken arrives at the scene. Duke Hyou asks the newcomer who the hell he is and soon recognizes his name as the man who killed Ou Ki during the Battle of Bayou. The Duke then takes upon himself to avenge Ou Ki's death while ordering his soldiers to go after Ri Boku, he then puts down his heavy shield and prepares to face the Bushin in single combat.
