Kyou Kai's Rampart is the 57th chapter of the Kingdom manga, written and illustrated by Yasuhisa Hara.

Summary

With the second wave of War Chariots coming, the Taku Kei squad all look to Kyou Kai for guidance. Kyou Kai suggests making a Rampart. Bi Hei asks how to do that as he then responds by pilling up corpses. Taku Kei believing this plan can work orders everyone to start pulling up the corpses before the War Chariots arrive. Bi Hei is still skeptical about it but does it anyway. Hai Rou then tells them this is not a bad idea; however, they need also gather spears and shields.

The second wave is already in sight, and they aim to kill all of the Qin soldiers. The Wei chariots then see the barricade and claim this will not stop them. The plan is successful as nobody died in the initial attack of the second wave. Some of the Wei soldiers don't want to bother with the remnants they mist as they are almost wiped out. A captain of a chariots tells them that we will kill them all as Go Kei has ordered.

The 10th unit turns around in order to finish them all of. Because the War Chariots are now behind the remnants of the Qin soldiers, they don't have any defense as the back of the rampart has no defense. The Wei chariots now use spears to attack the soldiers in the rampart. Kyou Kai then tells them the chariots have slowed down because of the ramparts. Now is the time to strike. Shin starts to attack first by throwing a spear to the driver of the chariot and it falls over as a result.
