Shin, worried about her, accepts it. Kyou Kai spends the next three days meditating and regaining her strength.
During this time, she remembers a day she spends with her sisters. She got nagged by them for not catching anything for dinner despite being her turn to find food. In the end Kyou Kai takes care of starting a fire, while Shiki and Rei search for food.
Later Shiki asks Kai to help teaching Rei various techniques. Kai says to call over Rei, but Shiki says it is better if she teaches her first, so that she can teach Rei, since Rei hates being taught by people other than her and the old lady. Kyou Kai then lays of the grass and watches the sisters spar against each other.

Kyou Kai however dodges all her attacks without even drawing a sword and punches her to the ground. Ten is surprised that Kyou Kai can overwhelm Rei so easily, but Kai responses that Rei is not serious yet either. Having recovered enough of her strength, hat Kyou Kai gets serious for the first in a while as they can both fight "in the abyss". At the end of the chapter both decide to use their dance as the soldiers of the Hi Shin Unit rush to see their fight.
